Join Sammy from Auspicious Stitch (@auspicious.stitch on Instagram) to learn the basics of spinning your own yarn from wool fibres! In this beginner's class, Sammy will explain the technique of spinning wool on a top-whorl drop spindle, a fun and inexpensive way of making your own yarn. Use of a spindle and fibres to practice with are included in the class fee, with the option of purchasing your spindle and additional fibre at the end of the class. Sammy's teaching style is accessible and friendly, helping new spinners to learn the craft is her greatest passion!
Minimum class size three, maximum five participants.
Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided.
Refunds are available until October 18 provided that there is someone available to take your place. No refunds are available thereafter (in the event that fewer than the minimum register for the course all fees will be refunded).
The course is currently scheduled to run on the upper floor of our studio, which can only be accessed by a staircase. Please contact us if that would present difficulties for you, so that we can make suitable arrangements.
