Join Sammy from Auspicious Stitch (@auspicious.stitch on Instagram) to learn the basics of spinning your own yarn from wool fibres! In this beginner's class, Sammy will explain the technique of spinning wool on a top-whorl drop spindle, a fun and inexpensive way of making your own yarn. Use of a spindle and fibres to practice with are included in the class fee, with the option of purchasing your spindle and additional fibre at the end of the class. Sammy's teaching style is accessible and friendly, helping new spinners to learn the craft is her greatest passion!
Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided.
The course is currently scheduled to run on the upper floor of our studio, which can only be accessed by a staircase. Please contact us if that would present difficulties for you, so that we can make suitable arrangements.
